Jess Hart just sort of happened. Stavros didn't see her, fall for her, and pursue her. She gradually infiltrated herself somehow, because she was always around.
Stavros had a best friend, PC Valmorbida, who’s Australian, and they used to always go to this club called Southside together, which was owned by Australians. These club-owners used to always bring in "hot" girls... and one of them was fellow-Australian Jess Hart. Jess Hart was living with Nicolas Potts, her boyfriend of six years, at the time. Nicolas Potts was also Australian and a musician. Jess started leeching onto Stav's group from the very beginning and was always “one of the guys”. She had been around for at least a year, before there were rumors of a relationship. Stav was in a bad place, because things with a girl he had fallen very much in love with for a very long time hadn’t worked out. At times it looked as if he tried to make her jealous with Jess Hart, but failed miserably. The other girl was from his world, very beautiful and everybody wanted to date her. I always thought she was quite arrogant, so I no wonder Jess Hart didn't cut it.
Either way, after as little as a year of officially dating, Jess Hart somehow managed to make Stav rent an apartment with her downtown. Even though he never appeared to be madly in love with Jess either, this was retrospectively a much better relationship than the one he has now with Dasha. Jess had no baggage, she was much better liked by his friends, not initially, but after the first couple of years. She had a cheerful personality, she had a job... even though she wasn't a super successful model, she always had some shoots she would travel to. And she always strived to give Stav as much space as possible - hanging out with her posse of girlfriends, hustling for her career, going back to Australia to spend time with her family, etc. And she never asked anything of him, seemed very grateful for what she was getting out of the relationship - staying in his large apartments, having access to his social circle, vacationing on his boat, his island and in St. Moritz, going to all these parties, such as the Met gala and VF Oscar parties...
Nonetheless, once the 3 year lease was up, Stav didn't renew the contract and moved back to his family's duplex in midtown. The honeymoon phase was long over and imo Stavros had decided by then, that this relationship wasn't going anywhere.
Thereafter came the phase where he wanted to end the relationship and Jess just wouldn't move out. Stavros is super non-confrontational. He wouldn't just sit Jess down and tell her, it's over, please move out, you have two months. Instead, he started treating her horribly. Leaving her to walk 3-5m behind him, ignoring her completely all night long, ditching her at events the moment they had made it past the entrance, rolling his eyes whenever she started talking, withdrawing from her completely, etc. I think he was hoping to make her leave on her own. But Jess ignored his behavior and kept sticking around. After another 3 years it finally came to an end with a bang.
Martin P is a hanger-on, who seems to leech onto people exclusively based on their last names. He’s a clown. I think many keep him around because they have either run out of friends (Euge) or because they suffer from low self-esteem and enjoy having him kiss up to them. Sorry
